Annemarie Ambrosoli
Biography
Annemarie Ambrosoli is an Italian artist, born in South Tyrol (Italy). She is an internationally recognized visual artist. From 2008 until 2021 she was resident in Austria and since 2022 she lives in South Tyrol (Italy). After her education in art attending painting courses under the guidance of academic professors, she began painting en-plein-air landscapes using oil and watercolor technique. After a long period of outdoor painting, which gave her a lot of satisfaction, she had the desire to change her style to be more creative. In her current works Annemarie reduces the figure's volumes to their simplest geometric components. The focus in her paintings are stylized, simplified unique figures, using forms and lines, that transmit a positive message of love, joy, tranquility, positivity and even a little mystery. The inspiration of her art is music, dance and moments from everyday life, observing people in their daily gestures. Their facial expressions are the starting point to create her figures. When a new idea is born, she immediately paints it on a watercolor paper to save the idea to develop it on a large canvas.
Annemarie Ambrosoli is selected as an International Certified Artist (ICA) by the International Institut for Artist Accreditation, Waalwijk, Nederlande. She was awarded several times, to mention, in 2019 and 2021, the prestigious A' Design Award in the "Arts, Crafts and Ready-Made Design" category. Several art critics wrote about her work. Some of her paintings were donated by Annemarie Ambrosoli through an organization for a charity art auction at the Dorotheum Vienna auction house.
Images of her works are in many art books, publications, articles and interviews including Art in America Annual Guide, Aesthetica Magazine, Arterynyc – Spotlight and more. Annemarie has exhibited in group exhibitions in many countries in Europe and art fairs in Canada, Hong Kong, Dubai and in many European countries. Her works belong to private collections.

I am very honored to receive the Collectors Art Prize. As an artist I put a lot of effort into perfecting my ideas, creating original and creative paintings, and this prize confirms that my work is appreciated internationally. This gives me great joy and satisfaction.
What do you think is the role of art in the world today?
I believe that the role of art has not changed over the centuries, people began to draw to convey their emotions with drawing and color. Over time, art has also made its changes like everything that surrounds us. Today art is certainly one of the most universal and distinctive activities of the human species. Art is stimulating and exciting, it helps to process one's emotions, feelings and to see life from a different perspective. Like songs and cultural activities, art is also important for ourselves, as artists, to make the world better and to convey a message or an emotion to the viewers.
What would it be if you could change one thing about the art world?
I personally wouldn't change anything because art has been an evolution. We are already experiencing the change in art but every period is fascinating and brings us something new with new emotions.
What are your most significant professional achievements?
My most significant professional achievements are: 2021 and 2019 the A’ Design Award in the “Arts, Crafts and Ready-Made Design” category, 2018 the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by Start Group Rome, the Prize Gala de l’Art in Monaco Montecarlo by Iori Case D’Aste Piacenza and more.
What do you wish to tell viewers about your work that might not come out explicitly? What do you hope to inspire with your artwork?
Through my work I want to convey to the viewer the same emotion one feels in front of a hot sunny day in the middle of summer. I try to tell stories through my creations with personal interpretation, imagination, fantasy, aesthetics and originality about my personal experiences, memories and new ideas. I am very happy if, through my works, I am able to convey my enthusiasm and positivity to the viewers and bring them closer to my work.
What advice would you give to the upcoming generation of artists?
The advice I can give to the upcoming generation of artists, is to never give up, keep studying and improving the own art to give the observers new messages for a better life and a better world.
In what direction would you like to see your career go in the next five years?
