Kari Veastad

Biography

Kari Veastad (b. 1961) is a self-thought artist as is born and live in Norway.
She started with oil painting on canvas in 2009 and open up for more intuitive painting from 2016.
Her working carrier has always been within economic tasks.
Her life experience additional to her therapeutical educations is reflected in some of the paintings.
She paints intuitively and is always surprised of what emerges into the canvas.
The painting often draws attention to the inner wealth of man. She intents to inspire you to open up and pay attention to your inner landscape for reflection and movement.
Her inspiration is the beauty in the surroundings and passion for the interaction between body, soul and spirit.
She is represented in galleries in Rome, Turin, Madrid, Lisbon and New York.
The last year she has been participated in group exhibitions around the world as in Norway, Italy, Spain, South Korea, Hungary, New York, Austria, Belgium, France, Dubai and Miami Art Fair.
She is an awarded artist and her works belong to public collections.
She has participated in “Artisti 21” and “Artisti 22” from Italy and “Important World artists” published in US.  

Artist statement
I love to play with colors. My colors and hands take me on a joyous and unfamiliar journey through inner and outer landscapes. I am constantly surprised by what comes on the canvas as different movements.
The painting often draws attention to the inner wealth of man. I intend to inspire you to open up and pay attention to your inner landscape for reflection and movement.
My inspiration is the beauty in the surroundings and my passion for the interaction between body, soul, and spirit.
