I am very humble and grateful to receive this prestigious award. This recognition proves to me that I am on the right track, and it gives me a great, great deal of inspiration and motivation to continue the path that I am on right now.

What do you think is the role of art in the world today?

Art plays a huge role for democracy. Art is a tool to freely express ideas, meanings and it is a way to get the dialog going. As the audience also are free to tell their experience of art. No matter the subject.

I also believe that art speaks to the soul. It communicates on a deeper level, and yes it could for sure play a part of a big changes in the world.

What would it be if you could change one thing about the art world?

Hmm, I think the change begins with ourself. What I have changed during the last 3 to 4 years, is that I am getting better and better at listening to my intuition. Advise are fine, though you true purpose is an inherent and knowing creative force which will tell you what direction to go. Just be quiet enough to hear, and listen to the inner voice.

What do you wish to tell viewers about your work that might not come out explicitly? What do you hope to inspire with your artwork?

My artwork is nothing without the community. It means everything to my when people writes telling how an artpieces have inspired them in a positive way maybe made them do a kind act in respond to a painting.

I love when people send send photos of murals with them interacting, when families are telling me how an artroute made their day even better and made them take about how we can be more aware of protecting our beautiful world. All this really makes my day, for this I am grateful. The interest and the dialogs and touching respond makes me do what I do. You are the force behind me creation. So thank you, thank you, thank you.
