In the creative process I use different medias, oil on canvas, acrylic on canvas, collages, mixed media; watercolors, acrylic, oil pastels on paper.
In order to achieve particular expression I stylize the forms from the nature in my own unique way.
Usually I am aiming at the resemblance I observing objects and transferring into the canvas by signs. Some of my artworks have elements of Impressionism, some - Pointillism, other - Surrealism. I never stick with one particular style and try to discover new ways how to express myself. Of course my thoughts and approach dictate techniques and medias. Also, l like back to my older paintings and with a fresh impression add more nuances and subtitles. Some of my artworks multi - layered, others combine versatility and minimalism, I like integrate calm tones with contrasting saturated hues.
My Inspiration come from different ways, sometimes from traveling, music, nature, books, art, sometimes from inside - meditations, unified fields, eternity.

What is your background?
I was born in Vilnius, it is the capital of Lithuania. My mother was an accountant, but in the spare time she has been painting landscapes and flowers, but she didn’t encourage me to became an artist and later on didn’t appreciate my artworks. Once for her birthday I gave as a present my oil painting, but she has repainted the sky and some details of architecture. Father didn't exist in my life, at least I do not remember. From the age of 4 I lived with my aunt and her husband in the small town, there I finished secondary school. I very early started write poems and I was thinking about writer’s or journalist’s career. I have written and published three poetry books in Lithuanian language and in 2019 my poetry book “Ephemeral Awaking” was published in English language. But deeply inside I had the strong desire to paint pictures. As a teenager I read too many biography books about P. Cezanne, H. Matisse, P. Picasso, C. Monet, V. Van Gogh, etc. My aunt’s husband was an intellectual, he knew 12 languages and the house was full of books. I think, his drawings of dinosaurs and exotic flowers, books of the art encourage me more time spent drawing and painting. After secondary school unpredictable circumstances changed my directions. I moved to Kaunas city. There I finished A. Martinaitis Art School and later Academy of Art. But I think, creativity, art style and inspirations come from different sources, not from Art Schools or Academies and nobody able to teach it.
What does it mean to you to win Collectors Art Prize?
I am honoured and very pleased to receive the Collectors Art Prize! Collectors Art Prize recognizes outstanding achievements in contemporary art, and I am happy to be among the most innovative and influential artists of our time. Also, it encourages me to continue developing my artistic approach and art style into the deeper observations and visualisations of my thoughts and feelings.
What do you think is the role of art in the world today?
Through centuries art has been important part of human society and nowadays has similar roles: educational, cultural exchange, expression. Also, the role of the art is encouraging people to look up from the different angles, to make catharsis, to evaluate yourself in front of the painting from the distinct perspective. To make strong emotional impression.
What would it be if you could change one thing about the art world?
To be honest I don’t know what I could change, if it means in the global scale. But I exactly know what I would change in the art world of Milton Keynes city, where I live. I would change infrastructure of the Art Galleries and approach into the art and artists. Everything is too commercialised. Art Galleries are full of sellable prints and cheap paintings and any possibility to exhibit original artworks to the local artists. Despite that a few years ago was built the new Art Gallery and have another additional space for the exhibitions, but it is not for the artists, only the local communities’ educational programmes. I would definitely change this situation.
What are your significant professional achievements?

What do you wish to see tell viewers about your work that might not come out explicitly?
What do you hope to inspire with your artwork? Some of my artworks are poems on canvas, where I express my poetic approach to situations, feelings and the relationship with other people and objects. Also, in the majority paintings have more when one meaning, viewers can see different things in the same painting. My collages are like jazz improvisations. As a mine structure of the artwork, usually I am creating with mirrors, sawdust, wood, textile, photos and at the end of creating process I am painting with oil colours. The picture’s physical body juxtaposes and suffuses, veritably forms a jazz of the visual performance.
I hope to inspire viewers to see things from different perspectives and to evaluate personal attitudes and buy my artworks.
What advice would you give to the upcoming generation of artists?
To the upcoming generation of artists, I advise to be curious, patient and never give up what you desire to do. Never stick with one art technique, it is a risk to become a dull craftsman. The art like the life and the world has different angles. Also, the time with yourself in the silence is very important, ability to listen your inner voice in order get into unified field of consciousness and find your own unique way to express yourself.
In what direction would you like to see your career go in the next five years?
I wish to afford more solo exhibitions around the world, to be well – known artist and that art collectors find, appreciate and buy my artworks.
