Amarnath Viswanath
Biography
Amarnath Viswanath is a German resident, born in India on 20. June 1941. After graduating with a B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry from the Univerity of Calcutta, India. Amarnath started his ceramic career working as a trainee in a ceramic insulator company in Germany. In 1968 he completed his studies at the Ceramic College in Germany with a degree in Ceramic Engineering.
Amarnath uses almost exclusively acrylic colors for his paintings. Although he started his painting with abstract images, Amarnath tends more and more towards landscape paintings. Most of the landscape images are remembrance of his time spent in USA. Color blue is the favorite color of Amarnath as can be seen in most of his paintings. Amarnath has exhibited his art in working group exhibitions including:
the international Artists Organisations „IN3 Art World Wide“ exhibition in Tuscany Italy.

One of his painting is now at the Aspen Art Gallery, Aspen as a Donation to the boys and girls Scout at Denver.
Amarnath is a member in the local art academy.
What’s your background?
My background is Ceramic Engineer and after graduating in Germany started work as Development engineer with a color manufacturing company. I was in charge of developing new designs and new colors for dinner ware walltiles and sanitary wares. In 1994 I moved to USA and appointed as technical director with a color and glaze manufacturers in Ohio. After 17 years I retired and spent painting.
What does it mean to you to win the Collectors Art Prize?
Winning the collectors price, is a honour for me.
What do you think is the role of art in the world today?
There should be more information to the public and artists for a better role of art in the world . Every art lovers should be able to visit shows at a reasonable financial burden.
What would it be if you could change one thing about the art world?
I will try to display shows in small cities so every one has the chance to understand art.
What are your most significant professional achievements?
During my professional career I had a chance to visit customers and give them the advantage of using our products. Also I was able to travel all over the world and learn culture and livings of people living in different world.
What do you wish to tell viewers about your work that might not come out explicitly? What do you hope to inspire with your artwork?
My aim is to inspire viewers my artworks and make their own judgements and understanding.
I would like to concentrate in the near future with paintings and explore new Technik in the world of artist painting.
In what direction would you like to see your career go in the next five years?
I would like to see improvements my artist career in the next coming years and like to use my artistic abilities to use new technics . As a ceramic engineer, I like to adapt designs and decorations used in the manufacture of dinnerware and transfer to my art.
